Lunchroom Supervisor

Job Description

Our Lady Star of the Sea School is seeking a Lunchroom Supervisor. OLSOS is a faith-based community dedicated to bringing Jesus into our students’ lives through exceptional academics and rich faith experiences. We are looking for an energetic, faith-filled individual interested in ensuring the safety, well-being, and proper behavior of students during lunch and recess. The role involves supervising students, enforcing school rules, fostering a positive environment, and responding to any issues that arise. This is a part-time position.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or higher
• Experience working with children
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to remain calm and handle emergencies effectively
  
  
  

Additionally, the candidate must complete the Protecting God’s Children training

Responsibilities:

• Organize, record, and coordinate hot lunch orders with the vendor, ensuring accurate tracking and distribution
• Supervise students in the lunchroom, ensuring orderly behavior and a respectful environment
• Encourage good manners and social interactions
• Assist students with needs such as opening containers, microwaving, and cleaning-up
• Assist with seating arrangements, line management, and transitions between lunch and recess
• Monitor and engage with students during recess, promoting safe, and inclusive play
• Enforce playground and school safety rules
• Address behavioral issues and injuries and report concerns to school staff
• Work with teachers, administration, and staff to support positive school culture
• Follow lunch room protocols to execute lunch service and cleanliness of equipment and cafeteria
