High School Mathematics (Full or Part-Time)
Austin Catholic High School is seeking candidates for a Mathematics teacher in a full or part-time capacity.
Our growing student population and expanding STEAM programs need faculty to grow with us. Courses taught may include : Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, or personal finance depending on certification and experience. Candidates with Advanced Placement (A.P.) certification are desired.
Applicants should be qualified and capable of teaching a demanding math curriculum (EX). The position requires a strong background and certification in mathematics with the ability to teach in light of a Catholic, Christian worldview. A willingness to be an active member of our dynamic high school environment and contribute as a team player outside of the school day are a must.
The ideal candidate should possess the following :
- Hold proper teaching certification : EX
- Ability to maintain a safe and disciplined learning environment.
- Capacity to create lesson plans that support mastery of essential outcomes consistent with school goals; promote problem solving and creativity, challenge students and demonstrate higher order thinking.
- Capability to adapt delivery and materials to meet the needs of students with varying academic skill levels.
- Have an interest in supporting a school culture that focuses on each student's academic, spiritual, social and emotional growth in alignment with the school's mission.
- Ability to effectively use technology tools.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate [verbal and written] with various stakeholders.
- Visibly demonstrate a willingness to expand knowledge and skills by participating in professional development opportunities in all areas.
