General Description:
Holy Cross Catholic School is seeking a preschool teacher for our 3 and 4-year-old preschool program. Every teacher is a member of the professional staff with responsibilities in the areas of: instruction, curriculum development, classroom management, student/parent relations, faith life, and community relations. The teacher fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by guiding, inspiring, and teaching students in a loving, Christ-centered environment.
Skill Requirements (including but not limited to):

A knowledge and experience with early childhood education, developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning, and the ability to create a warm, inviting, and comfortable environment for our youngest learners.

An understanding of the Catholic Faith and the ability to witness to it personally and professionally

A working knowledge and familiarity with the guidelines of licensing for child care

Effectively communicate with students, parents, school staff, and others in a calm and respectful manner at all times
Education Requirements (one or more of the following):

Michigan Teacher Certification (preferred)

ZA endorsement (preferred)

Associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education or child development

High School Diploma 12 semester hours in child-related field 960 hours experience
