Job description
First Grade Elementary Teacher plans, organizes, and implements the instructional program in a Catholic learning environment where every child is recognized as a unique child of God.
Essential Functions:
• Develop lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocesan and state of Indiana guidelines
• Provide grade-appropriate engaging instruction and learning activities for school students that adheres to the school's philosophy, goals, and objectives
• Observe and assess student progress, keep detailed records, observe student behavior and progress, and communicate with parents.
• Attend all faculty meetings, professional development days, and workshops.
Position Qualifications:
• Minimum of bachelor's a Degree in Education
• Current State of Indiana teaching license
• Trained in the Science of Reading
• Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals, and objectives
• Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn about the integration of technology into lessons
• Practicing Catholic preferred
