Scecina Memorial High School is seeking a Director of Development who will work closely with the President and other members of the Development Team to design and execute an annual development strategy to raise support for school priorities and programs. The director will also be responsible for securing an important significant portion of the Scecina annual fund goal budget through year-round communications that build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of donors and prospects. Additionally, the director will ensure that ethical, timely, accurate, and efficient processes are implemented across various development projects to foster and sustain collaborative relationships between donor prospects and Scecina.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Create the annual Scecina Fund Gift Range Chart, outlining donor portfolios and projected giving goals to support the overall Scecina Fund objective.
2. Lead and mentor direct reports, helping them understand Scecina's mission, history, and goals, while identifying growth and development opportunities.
3. Develop and manage the annual budget for development and alumni affairs projects.
4. Plan and execute strategies for Giving Day and online giving appealscampaigns.
5. Develop and implement strategies for securing corporate sponsorships.
6. Collaborate with the President and Director of Marketing Communications to create a marketing strategy for The Scecina Fund.
7. Integrate prospect research into the Development department to enhance fundraising efforts.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Fundraising strategy development with the ability to create and manage the annual Scecina Fund Gift Range Chart, including donor portfolios and projected giving goals, to effectively attain support the Scecina Fund's overall objectives.
2. Leadership and mentorship skills to guide and mentor direct reports, ensuring they understand and align with Scecina's mission, history, and goals, while fostering growth and professional development opportunities.
3. Proficiency in developing and managing the annual income and expense budgets for development and alumni affairs projects, ensuring proper allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.
4. Expertise in planning and executing successful Giving Day and online giving appealscampaigns, driving participation and maximizing donations.
5. Ability to develop and implement strategies to secure corporate sponsorships, strengthening partnerships and enhancing fundraising capabilities.
6. Experience collaborating with key stakeholders, such as the President and Director of Marketing Communications, to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for The Scecina Fund.
7. Skilled in integrating prospect research into the Development department to enhance fundraising strategies and identify new donor opportunities.
8. Must be able to understand and to comply with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Code of Conduct.
9. Must be able to successfully complete the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Child Safety Training.
10. Background screening required.
11. Valid driver's license required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
1. Office and school setting
2. Occasional events at night or on weekends.
3. Must be able to read and edit spreadsheets, email and other related tools related to the role.
4. Able to communicate extensively and effectively with staff and vendors via telephone one-on-one conversations, face-to-face, public presentations, and written correspondence.
