St. Philip Neri Catholic School, a Mother Theodore Catholic Academy School, is seeking a school principal to begin the 2025-2026 school year. St. Philip Neri provides an education rooted in faith to form future leaders and saints, preparing children for a life that makes God known, loved, and served.
St. Philip Neri currently enrolls 286 children in grades preschool through eighth grade. An Archdiocesan school located in Indianapolis, Indiana, St. Philip Neri serves a culturally rich population, predominantly Latino.
St. Philip Neri works closely with the Mother Theodore Catholic Academies (MTCA) as one of the MTCA schools. The Mother Theodore Catholic Academies is a way to L.I.V.E-with Love, Integrity, Virtue and Excellence.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate an unwavering commitment to providing a Catholic education of the highest quality to as many children as possible, ensuring that St. Philip Neri students are on the path to college and heaven. As a Mother Theodore Catholic Academy school leader, the principal at St. Philip Neri will focus on achieving comprehensive excellence in three key areas of schooling: Catholic identity, advancement, and teaching & learning.
The successful candidate will:
- Communicate a clear vision for the school and establish high expectations for all stakeholders
- Demonstrate resolute beliefs that all students can and will learn and excellence happens on purpose
- Effectively communicate (verbal and written)
- Build authentic relationships with the school community
- Leverage data (academic, advancement, cultural) to make decisions and drive change
- Lead collective teacher development and individual coaching and supervision
- Maintain student enrollment and retention through community outreach and family engagement
- Have leadership experience in an urban environment with proven cultural competency
Requirements:
- Be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church
- Administrative licensure from the state of Indiana (or seeking reciprocity)
- Administration experience preferred but not required
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
