POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position : Customer Care Representative
Department : Catholic Cemeteries – Sales Administration
Reports To : Sales Administration Manager
Classification : Non-Exempt
General Description
Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark operates 11 Catholic cemeteries in 5 counties and is the recipient of several prestigious awards. Over 1 million are interred in our cemeteries.
The Customer Care Representative is responsible for handling all customer account inquiries in a professional and timely manner. The Customer Care Representative enters sales data and account collection related activity for the Catholic Cemeteries for the Archdiocese of Newark. The Customer Care Representative shall be open to work at any of Catholic Cemeteries locations in northern New Jersey region as needed.
Specific Duties / Responsibilities
The following specific responsibilities are representative of the duties required in this position. They may be unilaterally but reasonably changed based on the working environment and departmental needs.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to questions related to the customer account
- Assess and direct calls accordingly
- Provide general information on all Catholic Cemeteries’ products and services
- Assist customers and Memorial Planning Advisors with contract refinancing requests and approval
- Review & enter in cemetery enterprise system data related to sales contracts, floral and candle invoices, memorialization orders and all related payments.
- Process and input PAD checking and Credit Card information
- Call customers to update expired or declined PAD accounts
- Run weekly reports and prepare monthly acceptance, past due and friendly reminder letters
- Prepare “Right of Interment” Certificates
- Process contract cancellations
- Assist in month end close activities and reconciliations
- All other duties as assigned
