FLSA Status : Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Schedule : Sunday Masses 8 am / 1- 4 hours per week
and parish events as needed (holy days, weddings, quincenieras etc)
Reports to : Pastor

Summary
The Music Leader will be responsible for guiding the choirs they conduct and performing music at various parish services and may be contracted to perform at weddings, funerals and other liturgical events as necessary. The Musician Leader in conjunction with the Music Coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating the parish music program for their assigned Masses and special liturgical services.
Must have demonstrated experience with vocal skills and various instruments specifically; piano, organ and / or guitar.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides weekly choir practice
- Selects music appropriate for all Sunday weekend Masses based on liturgical, musical and pastoral judgments
- Provides musical support to prayerful environment
- Assists Pastor and / or Coordinator of Music and Liturgy in securing other instrumentalists as needed
- Continuously maintains professional and liturgical education through reading, workshops, classes etc.
- Is available to perform at special events including weddings, funerals and other events as needed
