Summary
The Director of Fundraising and Special Events is responsible for managing the daily activities associated with multiple CCAOSA special events: plan, coordinate, and execute simultaneous events as well as board, event committee, and donor engagement and cultivation. Director must think critically and independently with autonomous oversight of multiple event project timelines, revenue tracking, budgets, and event planning. This position is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, and development of staff under their supervision.

This position is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, and development of staff under their supervision.
Position Responsibilities
- *Oversee all administrative, financial, contractual, logistical, and staff, volunteer, and vendor duties at each event.
- *Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and training of event staff under their supervision and make recommendations for termination of employees.
- *Develop and implement employee development plans for employee training, retention, and morale.
- *Direct event staff through project timeline from event conception through event reconciliation including, but not limited to, sponsorship payment, auction redemption, and event planning.
- *Maintain relationships and negotiate bids for external vendors to provide expertise and guidance for all events.
- *Work professionally and collaboratively with Board of Directors, Governing Committees, and Event Committees throughout event planning process to ensure board engagement and satisfaction.
- Create and adhere to event budgets, revenue tracking, event reconciliation, and fiscal oversight often working collaboratively with Finance following agency fiscal policies and in compliance.
- *Generate year-over-year reports on department, event timeline, revenue streams, expenses, sponsorships, and auctions.
- *Work within Greater Giving to track event sponsors, donors, auctions, online bidding, and other event tasks.
- *Have Excel competency in creating and presenting reports that assist event committees and boards with decision making and event planning tasks.
- Other duties as assigned by Chief Development Officer.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in communication, Hospitality or business-related field preferred.
- Experience
- Three to five years of experience in managing a program with two years of experience in board relations and donor relations experience preferred.
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Must have clean driving record
- Minimum of two years' experience in project management including ability to problem solve quickly, execute multiple events and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with pending deadlines.
- Extensive working knowledge of project scheduling and production.
- Experience with project, crm, and budget platforms preferred.
- Must have good written and verbal skills.
- Must have good math skills for reporting and financial reconciliation.
- Must be able to maintain high level of professionalism with internal and external partners.
