Summary :
The VITA Intake Specialist is responsible for assuring every client is aware of all services available to them and are seen in a timely manner. The Clerical Intake Specialist also oversees client sign-in and assists clients in the completion of the client intake sheet at their assigned site.
Position Responsibilities :
- Must pass the Standards of Conduct and Intake & Quality Review test per IRS standards
- Greets clients in a courteous manner upon arrival and departure
- Respond to clients' general inquiries
- Connects client to a certified tax expert for any tax inquiries
- Enter clients' information onto the Charity Tracker Account daily
- Maintains and keeps the assigned area in an orderly manner
- Light lifting and record keeping
- Provide clients with an Intake Form
- Prepares client file for tax preparation
- Ensures the site has adequate materials to operate properly and / or restock as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director / supervisor.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED
At least 1 year of customer service experience
Reliable transportation
Minimum Knowledge and Skills :
o Computer skills
o Proficient in Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word, access, PowerPoint)
Travel Requirements :
Travel requirements for the position include 0 % local and 0 % overnight
