Full-Time Teaching Position : Kindergarten-5th Grade Science Teacher & Junior High Science Aide

Summary : Under the supervision of the Principal. The ideal candidate will possess relevant classroom
experience; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; flexibility; comfort with a variety of
tasks / roles; a collaborative spirit; and a commitment to Catholic education. The teacher is an integral member of
the teaching team in developing and enhancing established curriculum, as well as modeling a culture of learning
and professionalism at Holy Name School.
Qualifications :
- Reflect the Catholic values taught at Holy Name School
- Candidates must possess an undergraduate 4-year degree
- Experience working in the science field or science education preferred
- Willing to be able to work in a team environment
- Classroom management skills
- Teaching experience and a passion to work with children
- Open to hands-on learning experiences using lab integration and materials provided by science series
- Demonstrated communication skills with parents, faculty, and students
- Ability to utilize technology in a classroom environment and to integrate technology on a daily basis
- Commitment to excellence and rigor
- Familiar with teaching Next Generation Science Standards
