Middle School Math Teacher
St. Catherine of Siena Parish School is a Roman Catholic learning community serving grades K-8 in Burlingame, California. We are deeply committed to serving a diverse student body that focuses on developing a well-rounded child spiritually, academically and socially.
This innovative team member will support our students to carry forth the St. Catherine of Siena Mission, Philosophy, Traditions, and Student Learning Expectations of our school.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
? Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
? Model the school’s Mission and Philosophy in working with students, parents, colleagues and administration.
? Work collaboratively with the Middle School team to carry out the academic program: curriculum development and implementation, classroom management, student assessment, and parent communication
? Teach Math to 6th, 7th (Pre-Algebra), and 8th grade (Algebra 1) grade classes - approximately 15-20 students per class
? Support students in achieving their full potential of development and growth, through observations and consulting with Administration and/or School Counselor.
? Attend and participate in the following: Masses, faculty in service meetings, professional development, student assemblies, and other school functions, as requested.
? Document, calculate and report grades in a timely manner and facilitate student-parent-teacher conferences.
? Prepare and deliver lessons/units based on CA and Archdiocesan Curriculum Guidelines
Preferred Qualifi cations:
? Valid teaching California Teaching Credential (or equivalent) -Math Single Subject preferred
? Ability to facilitate technology integration into the classroom setting
? Experience teaching in a Catholic school setting (ideally at the Middle School levels)
? MA Degree
? Minimum of two years of prior teach
Salary : $59,515 - $114,587
