Position Overview :

Holy Rosary School and Parish are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Development Director to support and enhance the development and marketing efforts of both the school and the parish. This role will be critical in establishing efficient systems to streamline fundraising initiatives, build community relationships, and promote Holy Rosary's mission within the Edmonds area.

This position will be divided as follows :

80% School-focused
20% Parish-focused

The ideal candidate will have strong ties to the Holy Rosary community, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage and execute development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Development Support : Create systems to streamline development efforts across the school and parish.

Fundraising Project Management : Serve as the liaison between parent leads and school staff for key fundraising events, overseeing large-scale projects from start to finish to ensure deadlines and goals are met, while also managing fundraising software to streamline processes, track progress, and manage donors. Events include but are not limited to :

Annual Auction

Ram Run

Golf Tournament

HERO Scholarship Fund

Endowment Growth : Work closely with school leadership to support the growth of the school's endowment.

Sponsorships : Seek out and secure sponsorships from local businesses and community members for both the school and parish.

Marketing and Promotion : Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote Holy Rosary's events and initiatives within the Edmonds community, including :

Writing and distributing news articles

Managing social media accounts

Supporting other communication efforts.

Collaboration : Collaborate with the pastor, principal, and school staff to ensure the development strategy aligns with Holy Rosary's overall mission and vision.

Qualifications :

Strong ties to the Holy Rosary School and / or Parish community.

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, or a related field.

Proven experience in development, marketing, or fundraising.

Strong writing and communication skills.

Ability to take initiative and execute a development vision.

Ability to bring people together to collaborate and work collectively toward a shared goal.

Project management skills with a track record of delivering large-scale events or initiatives.

Experience developing repeatable processes and systems for fundraising and marketing.

Ability to seek and secure local sponsorships.

Familiarity with managing social media platforms and promoting events.

Compensation :

The position offers an hourly rate of $30-$45 per hour. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

Part time, FTE negotiable (.2-.4 FTE) This is a part-time role, with an expectation of 20-25 hours per month. It is not benefits eligible.
