This position can be half time (2 : 30-6 : 30) or three-quarter time (11am-6 : 30pm daily). STCA is a Preschool-8th grade Catholic elementary school in the heart of the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle, just 2 miles east of downtown. St. Therese is a welcoming, diverse, and faith-filled community that has been igniting the faith, minds, and dreams of our students since 1927. The school currently serves nearly 200 students ages 3-14, 33% of whom receive free / reduced lunch. Our families commute from over 40 zip codes to be a part of our school, nearly 90% of our students identify as children of color, and 60% of our families receive tuition assistance. Our staff (the Dream Team) has about 35 team members and is expanding along with our enrollment. We are one of the most diverse (racially, ethnically, religiously, economically, geographically) Catholic schools in the region. We are a small community with a family feel. We have a truly dedicated team of educators and parents, a growing service-learning program, and a distinct Blended Learning model. We have a dual leadership model with co-principals to support our students, families, and staff alike. We also have teacher-leaders at each grade level (Primary, Intermediate, and Middle School). Our After School Care program is held 5 days per week and is a mix of preschool through middle school-aged students. The program runs from the end of the school day (3 : 30pm- 6 : 00pm daily (5 : 30pm on Fridays). We are looking for a highly organized, responsible, and mission driven individual to lead a team of 3-4 adults in order to meet the needs of our children in our growing program, projected to serve 40-50 children daily. This role includes leadership potential and expanded responsibilities in the near future depending on the evolution of the program to meet our students' and families' needs and number of children enrolled. This role also will include maintaining relationships with Enrichment program providers, helping with attendance and billing, and communicating with families and administration regularly. Job Description and Expectations Supervise and monitor 30-50 children ages 3-14 with team of adults Supervise and lead After School Care team; Communicate with Administration to ensure smooth transitions and systems exist between care and enrichment programs Plan activities for students and implement structure Communicate with students and team members on a daily basis; check-in with parents and admin team as needed Recruit, coordinate, and schedule Enrichment programming from staff and outside vendors Work with business manager to oversee billing of extended care and enrichment programs Demonstrate strong communication skills and a restorative discipline approach aligned with mission and vision of instructional school day Model school core values for students (Faith, Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, and Compassion) Other duties as needed as assigned by principal / coordinator Proposed Report Time : Monday-Friday - 2 : 30-6 : 30pm OR 11 : 00-6 : 30pm (20-36 hours - may become full-time with other responsibilities) Compensation : Starting at $20 / hour Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
