Job Summary
- Work closely with the Pastor managing the financial business of the parish, school, and PSR.
- Work closely with the Finance Council attending all meetings and providing financial information.
- Work closely with the school principal on enrollment and school financial information.
- Work closely with the CRE on PSR enrollment and PSR financial information.

Maintain QuickBooks financial bookkeeping system; including accounts payable, receivable, parishioner donations, all fundraising income/expenses, payroll and cash receipts.
Job Responsibilities
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/RECEIVABLE
Review, code, and process all check requests, invoices, and payments.
Code and enter all cash/check deposits.
Review checks using the bank's Positive Pay system.
Initiate bank transfers, including SLAF accounts.
Reconcile all parish accounts.
TUITION & RECEIVABLES FOR DAY SCHOOL AND PREK/PRESCHOOL
Establish tuition rates and coordinate with the Archdiocese Scholarship Committee for tuition grants.
Assist school families in need of financial assistance and send notifications upon determination.
Enter tuition charges, credits, and payments into FACTS system.
Generate bi-monthly FACTS reports to check balances and follow up with parents on overdue amounts.
BUDGET
Collaborate with the Pastor, Principal, CRE, Finance Council, and organizations to prepare the parish’s annual budget.
PAYROLL
Provide bookkeeping and payroll services for the parish, PSR, and school staff.
Collect and review timesheets for accuracy, entering payroll data into Citrix Payroll.
Prepare and distribute yearly timesheet templates to employees.
PSR
Work with the Pastor and PSR Coordinator to set tuition rates and catechist pay.
Enter tuition data into QuickBooks and run monthly reports to track balances and follow up on past due amounts.
PARISH ORGANIZATIONS
Serve as a liaison for parish and school organizations.
Maintain restricted financial accounts for organizations.
Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports for their review.
Job Requirements
- General knowledge and support of the Catholic Church, Catholic sacraments, Catholic rites and liturgies.
- Must have organizational skills and work independently.
- Must have the ability to meet deadlines for payroll and financial reports.
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to work with the Pastor, Facilities Manager, Office Manager, and staff members.
- Must be able to work with Finance Council, Tuition Hardship Committee, all parish and school organizations, and school and PSR parents.
