Working collaboratively with individuals, businesses, government and other service providers, St. Patrick Center will end chronic homelessness in the St. Louis region through Housing First, an evidence-based practice that tells us to remove barriers, do intake and assessment early, move people into housing and offer them support to achieve their goals.

Job Summary

St. Patrick Center, a ministry of Catholic Charities, is hiring a Grants Reporting Coordinator to oversee all reporting activities related to grant proposals and post-award processes. This role is vital for supporting the funding of our programs at St. Patrick Center and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. The coordinator will lead the timely tracking of grant submissions and collaborate with various departments to proactively communicate future funding opportunities and provide insight on ways to enhance grant submissions. The core working hours of St. Patrick Center are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 a year.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate non-government and government grant Roll Outs in partnership with Sr. Director of Program Operations
  • Incorporate current information and reporting technology to facilitate grants development and reporting.
  • Maintain systems to monitor grant reporting deadlines, expenditures, and all other information relevant to fulfilling grant reporting requirements.
  • Participate in pre-grant meetings to evaluate grant reporting requirements.
  • Communicate grant reporting requirements at the rollout stage of grants and maintain all reporting requirement deadlines throughout the process.
  • Complete reporting as needed for foundation and government grants.
  • Complete all required contracting elements once a contract has been received by a funder.
  • Prepare letters of support from community officials during the grant application process
  • Grant writing on an as needed basis
  • Work with the grant writer to complete grant prospecting research as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to write and present reports with advanced skillset in Excel.
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail and deadline oriented.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, positive attitude
  • Ability to relate well with colleagues, diverse group of senior professionals and staff at all levels throughout agency.
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Understanding and empathy toward the needs of low-income or homeless families
  • Experience working with low-income and homeless individuals and families and understanding of the homeless population and its many diverse groups.
  • Expertise in grant compliance, including but not limited to governmental funding agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of budgets and financial analysis and working knowledge of research techniques, information sources, and technology
  • Review documents for completeness, accuracy, authorization, and regulatory and procedural compliance.
  • Analyze compliance problems and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Work independently and exercise initiative and sound judgment.
  • Skills Required for Success in Job

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in professional grant writing setting with a proven record of successful performance required.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred.
  • Preferred experience with Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising software
  • Experience working with low-income and homeless individuals and families preferred.

    Pre-Employment Screening

    All candidates receiving an employment offer must submit a pre-employment screening. The screenings will include criminal background check and other background checks (as needed), Family Care Safety Registration, drug screen, and an employment and education or licensure / certification verification. Various positions will require physical examination, Tuberculosis screening and Hepatitis A. All offers are contingent upon successful completion of required screening.

    Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
