Job Summary
Middle School Foreign Language Teacher - Holy Cross Academy
Holy Cross Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Middle School Foreign Language Teacher to cultivate students’ language skills and cultural appreciation through engaging and interactive instruction. Languages of interest include Spanish, French, or Latin.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a rigorous and engaging foreign language curriculum.
- Teach middle school students fundamental speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Foster an appreciation for the language’s culture and history, incorporating Catholic perspectives.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including interactive activities, role-playing, and multimedia resources.
- Assess student progress through exams, projects, and classroom participation.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and curriculum goals.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching certification or ability to obtain one.
- Fluency in the language being taught.
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
- Commitment to Catholic education and values.
