Job Summary
This position ensures the health and well-being of students by addressing medical needs, administering medication, and responding to health-related emergencies in the absence of the regular school nurse.
Job Responsibilities
The Substitute School Nurse is responsible for assessing and providing basic healthcare services to students and staff. Duties include administering first aid, managing chronic conditions, dispensing medication per physician orders, and maintaining health records. The nurse collaborates with school administrators, teachers, and parents to promote student health and safety while adhering to Archdiocesan policies and state health regulations.
Job Requirements
- Experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
