Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary
Most Sacred Heart Parish Elementary School located in Eureka, MO, seeks a dynamic educational leader as their Principal. This National Blue Ribbon School creates a vibrant 21st-century learning environment that infuses Catholic identity into every aspect of our curriculum. It is the responsibility of the Principal to ensure that Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STREAM) are integrated across all content areas as well as promote a variety of before and after-school programs that are structured to meet the needs of each child.
We are seeking an experienced leader:
- Who is committed to furthering student achievement, and educational equity, all while providing a safe and nurturing space for students to grow and learn. Most Sacred Heart School places a high priority on collaboration, innovation, and flexibility. We seek a principal who is culturally, instructional, and operationally competent and can use these strengths to serve all students and staff in our building.
- Responsible for overseeing an instructional plan that is consistent with the mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the school
- Who reports directly to the Pastor.
Job Responsibilities
Foster a productive learning environment through collaboration with teachers, students, and parents.
Engage with students during arrival/dismissal, school events, and meetings.
Enforce disciplinary policies for students and staff.
Participate in parent meetings and mediate between parents, teachers, and students.
Maintain financial, personnel, and student records.
Ensure academic success in line with the Archdiocese of St. Louis standards.
Lead staff meetings and ensure completion of required paperwork.
Oversee school property maintenance and repairs.
Coordinate staff development and allocate supplies/equipment.
Manage the school budget and approve programs/expenditures.
Build positive relationships with the community, Home and School, and organizations.
Serve as liaison between the Archdiocese and school.
Perform additional related duties as required.

Job Requirements
- Practicing Catholic with a demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education. The principal should also have a thorough understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic philosophy of education.
- Principals are expected to hold a current Missouri teaching certificate and have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership/Administration or be working towards that degree.
- Applicants are expected to hold an Elementary School Religion Teacher certificate or Religion Coordinator certificate from the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
- A minimum of five years teaching experience at the elementary level; a number of these years should have been in Catholic education.
