Job Summary
Valle Catholic Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated certified K-8 Music Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year! We are looking for a dynamic educator who can provide both vocal and instrumental music instruction while helping us continue to grow our K-8 program with the long-term goal of expanding into the high school level.
Job Responsibilities
Provide engaging vocal and instrumental music instruction to students in Grades K-8
Design creative lesson plans and classroom activities that support student growth in music
Develop and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment with clear expectations
Organize and lead Christmas and Spring concerts and other school performances
Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and behavior documentation
Communicate consistently with parents regarding student progress and classroom updates
Collaborate with colleagues through committees and professional development opportunities
Uphold school policies and report concerns such as suspected abuse, neglect, or harassment
Perform additional duties as assigned by administration
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or higher
Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate in Music/Instrumental K-12
Knowledge of state and national music standards
Strong understanding of music curriculum, instructional best practices, and student assessment
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
