Archbishop Carroll is looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Athletic Director for the upcoming school year. Job Summary: The Assistant Athletic Director is directly responsible to the Athletic Director. Together with the Athletic Director, the Assistant Athletic Director assists with the development of the overall philosophy and goals of the entire athletic program at Archbishop Carroll High School, and is jointly responsible for the administration of the entire athletic program.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises the scheduling and use of all athletic facilities and coordinates the use of such facilities among Carroll stakeholders in conjunction with the Athletics Administrative Assistant. Assist in the formation, development, and coordination of co-educational athletic programs at Archbishop Carroll High School according to rules and regulations for the WCAC and DCSAA conferences.Supports and implements the philosophy of athletics at Archbishop Carroll Establishes criteria for recognition and awards given to members of all athletic teamsIn conjunction with the coaches, is responsible for the inventory, distribution, collection, storage, and repair of all equipmentResponsible for the overall operations of all home, athletic eventsIn the absence of the Athletic Director, assume responsibility for event management as the Assistant Athletic DirectorArranges transportation schedules of all athletic teams in coordination with the school calendar. Also works with other entities in the school to assist with the transportation needs.
Assist with the creation of and weekly distribution of the Athletics newsletter. Assist with the management and services of school vehiclesMakes announcements for upcoming sports events via PA system or other audio equipmentIn the absence of the Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer, responsible for the proper reporting of all athletic injuriesAttend all Athletic Meetings as requested.Assist in fundraising and program advancement opportunities.Assist in the evaluations of hiring new coaches and the evaluation of existing coachesResponsible for the overall academic success of all student-athletes, including but not limited to academic monitoring and academic interventions Support the school administration in the admissions processSupporting athletic coaches and counselors with NCAA and NFHS information and other recruiting-related documents for ACHS student athletesProvides incident reports from the Athletic Department when necessary.Required to work evenings, some holidays, and occasional weekendsAssist with administrative duties in the athletic department to include seasonal rosters, quarterly data, and other administrative requirements placed upon the athletic department. Knowledge and use of Blackbaud and DragonFly Software will be helpful. Additional athletic software (Hudl, Team Snap, etc) knowledge will be useful.
