Job Title: Sales Agronomist
Reports To: General Manager
I. Sales, Marketing and Customer Service
- Promotes the sales of all cooperative agronomy and related products, to farmer patrons on the basis of sales records, marketing surveys, scouting, advertising development and other promotional methods.
- Prepare, plan, execute and report a sales program to current and prospective accounts.
- Works to increase market share.
- Works with General Manager to develop sales goals and action plans.
- Monitors the competitions marketing and pricing strategies.
- Continually upgrades knowledge on agronomy products and services.
- Assistance in product ordering and bookings (seed, chemical, fertilizers)
- Assistance in product pricing
- Inventory management – running reports, bookings, pre-pay
- Logistics and dispatch planning – outgoing and incoming
- Soil sampling/field mapping
- Oversee precision ag needs (internal and external)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management, agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
- Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
- Available to work extended hours when needed.
- Ag background preferred.
