Position Summary:
The Driver Manager reports to the Terminal Manager in Camanche, IA. This position is responsible for supporting the safety, quality and efficient management of ADM Trucking’s Camanche, IA terminal. This position must coordinate activities between Over-the-Road (OTR), city, wash-bay, shop, central dispatch, preloading and the plant to ensure that customers’ delivery times are met effectively and efficiently.

This position must coordinate activities between Over-the-Road (OTR), city, wash-bay, shop, central dispatch, preloading and the plant to ensure that customers’ delivery times are met effectively and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and comply with DOT, OSHA and Food Safety regulations.
- Must have the ability to manage a growing and diverse workforce.
- Lead teams on and off site, including Drivers, Wash Bay, Customer Service, Training and Billing
- Manage training requirements for each work group’s jobs being performed.
- Enforce policies, procedures and guidelines in a consistent manner.
- Respond to drivers concerns for safety, dispatch, equipment, grievances, etc.
- Hold and participate in quarterly and monthly meetings and ensure company information is communicated effectively.
- Collaborate with dispatch on a plan for drivers to meet customer and plant needs to ensure equipment and drivers are used efficiently.
- Provide timely and effective feedback to drivers to increase performance and accountability
- Understand and comply with good accounting principles established by Internal Audit.
- Ensure incidents are investigated properly and equipment is maintained within the proper guidelines.
- Develop and build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Manage equipment effectively in the operation
- Take ownership of all aspects of the Terminal’s business
- Use and create metrics to evaluate business effectiveness and profitability
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred with 2 or more years of experience in Trucking.
- Previous management experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong sense of leadership with the ability to impact and influence others.
- Proven ability to work within a team based work environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings.
- Some Domestic Travel may be necessary
- This position requires the ability to work in a variety of conditions such as an office environment, indoors/outdoors, hot/cold weather as well as physical demands such as standing, kneeling, and sitting for prolonged periods of time, climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
