We are looking for a high potential journeyman electrician ready to take on challenges and responsibilities within our Maintenance Department.
Potential assignments may include, but are not limited to:
- Install, calibrate and maintain electrical systems and process control devices
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and propose repair solutions for electrical power, electrical control and process control equipment
- Assist in the planning, budgeting and implementation of electrically related facility projects
- Operate hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools
- High school education or equivalent is preferred.
- Current Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License is required and it must be maintained.
- Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a world class safety culture; understand and follow company safety procedures.
- Develop and maintain proper use, care, and safety skills of all hand, power, welding and any other tools necessary for use in the course of this job.
- Exhibit regular and prompt attendance.
- Candidates are required to successfully complete a maintenance test consisting of technical aptitude, ability, and work habits.
- Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, wearing a respirator.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime as needed.
- Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed.
- Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
- Basic knowledge of process sensors/transmitters.
- Basic Knowledge of electrical safety devices (breakers, fuses, etc.)
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical work practices and guidelines to include those outlined by the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Willing and able to take formal trade school courses as selected by ADM management and take such courses on a continuing basis.
