Maintenance Process Improvement (MPI) Practitioner - ADM site
***The ideal work location for this position would be Cedar Rapids, IA or another U.S.-based ADM site. This is not a remote-work opportunity and the individual must report into an ADM site regularly for work.
This is a full time, exempt-level position.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Process Improvement (MPI) Practitioner role assesses, trains, coaches, implements, and ensures sustainability of Maintenance Process Improvement in the primary areas of Work Management and Planning/Scheduling, as well as the secondary areas of MRO (i.e. maintenance, repair and operations) and Warehousing at specifically-assigned, critical ADM plants.
This role works directly with the Plant Reliability Technology teams, Business Unit Reliability teams, and various site personnel. The person in this role is a leader in implementation, sustainability and continuous improvement. The MPI Practitioner will need to be able to quickly assess a maintenance organization and work management processes to determine gaps and the actions needed to close those gaps.
The MPI Practitioner may also be required to participate in ADM Task Force initiatives and ADM SWAT Team initiatives, which are highly-focused MPI execution initiatives. These initiatives will require the ability to be flexible, adaptable, and to be able to change course rapidly from the regular duties. The Task Force and SWAT Team initiatives are short duration and quick response in nature.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Extensive travel required from home of residence to various assigned plants
- Assess current level of maturity for assigned sites’ CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), MRO and Planning and Scheduling processes, determining gaps and determining the actions to close gaps
- Develop plan with assigned sites for improving upon CMMS, MRO and Planning and Scheduling processes
- Work closely with plant maintenance team, Business Unit Reliability teams and Plant Reliability Technology Center teams
- Drive metrics, KPIs and monetary cost savings while improving safety, quality, delivery and cost
- Implementation of effective usage of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution processes using ADM’s chosen computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Executes measurable and seeable improvements during every visit to a plant
- Ensures visibility of KPIs, trend management
- Provide/share foundational best-practices
- Implement a sustainable process to close gaps
- Determine monetary savings at the plant and drive that savings
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, or a similar technical discipline
- 8 years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance work management processes
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating people
- Knowledge of Maximo, Akwire and possibly SAP
- Electrical or mechanical experience in a manufacturing maintenance and engineering environment
- Demonstrated communication skills and leadership experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- CMRP or similar technical maintenance-related certification
