Position Summary:
- Engage in facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Ensure smooth production operation during shift.
- Work with compliance to all applicable OSHA, EPA, and ADM health and safety work
practices, production and material handling procedures - Maintains an attitude that accidents are preventable
- Discusses any safety concerns with supervisor throughout the shift
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Determine causes of operating errors and provide solutions.
- Use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Determine tools and equipment required to complete job.
- Repair equipment using proper tools.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Observe gauges, dial or other indicators to make certain the machine is working properly.
- Ensure a clean and safe work area.
- Maintain tools and equipment to prevent introduction of foreign materials into production equipment of finished products
- Conduct tests and inspections of products, services and processes to check quality and performance.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to OSHA
- Contribute to company-wide strategic planning efforts
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED preferred with 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery. Computer; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to lift, push, pull 50 lbs. Will also require standing, walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling
- Work is performed in a non-climate control factory.
- Work environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toe work boots, hard hats and any other protective gear.
- Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
