Job Description:
As a CPA, you will be responsible for managing and preparing financial statements, tax returns, audits, and advising clients on financial matters. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, providing expert advice to help them meet their financial goals and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Assist clients with tax planning, tax strategy, and compliance.
- Conduct audits and financial reviews in accordance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Advise clients on financial matters, including business strategy, investments, and other financial decisions.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes and related documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and industry trends.
- Maintain client relationships, offering professional support and guidance.
- Assist with accounting software and financial reporting systems.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active CPA license in the state of Florida.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QB Online, Microsoft Office and tax software; UltraTax a Plus
- Fluent in English/Spanish a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with specialized tax planning (e.g., estate planning, international tax).
- Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools.
- Experience with audits or forensic accounting.
