We're seeking a dynamic and driven Client Relationship Manger to join our expanding team in Portland Maine. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of our professional services (Tax, Accounting and Consulting) clients across the Maine, New Hampshire and northern Mass markets. You will represent the full spectrum of services offered by our firm, fostering relationships and identifying new business opportunities for our existing business clients.

The Client Relationship Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the sales process, including systematic client targeting, development of opportunity-specific sales strategy, and selection of pursuit teams and "quarterbacking" the entire sales process. This individual will build and maintain strong sales pipelines and forecasts associated to substantiated opportunities, prepare and facilitate presentations/proposals as well as close sales and finalize agreements with customers. The Client Relationship Manager will work closely with various firm leaders in co-leading growth efforts through networking, attendance and participation with various industry/professional groups and networking associations.

We are looking for a candidate that has a proven track record in selling professional services and has an active network in the geography.

The Client Development Manager is responsible for growing our relationship with existing clients, driving growth and cross selling into these clients.

Role:

  • Sourcing and qualifying opportunities within your assigned clients.
  • Responsible for executing the sales plan and process, including coordination of all necessary internal and external resources to best position the firm to secure the business.
  • Be the key contact for your clients, supporting their needs and assisting in driving their growth.
  • Conduct market research on clients and stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Cross-selling additional services where appropriate.
  • Actively work networking contacts, professional affiliations, industry groups and related Centers of Influence.
  • Work closely with marketing resources to develop effective, targeted go-to-market plans.
  • Work closely with Client Relations Organization to provide ongoing, current feedback relative to market opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with demonstrated success in selling professional services to corporations with revenues ranging from $1 million to over $500 million.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex sales processes that involve multiple team members and multiple decision makers (primarily owners and C-suite decision makers).
  • Demonstrated network of COI's (Centers of Influence) to include banking, legal and other professional services relationships that could be leveraged to identify opportunities within assigned geography.
  • Demonstrated expertise to drive a complex, sale cycle from identification through the close of deals.
  • Ability to actively participate in the proposal and Statement of Work creation process.
  • Experience leveraging a CRM tool for report generation and sales tracking.
  • Prior experience leveraging social media technologies for networking purposes.
  • Excellent influence and negotiation skills; strong executive presence and business acumen.
  • Must be motivated and self-disciplined; must possess strong time management skills.
  • Travel is required (local and overnight when appropriate).
  • Exhibit exceptionally strong communication, presentation, analytical and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated community involvement and activity with industry associations, civic and/or non-profit groups.
  • Experience working for regional or national professional service firm a significant plus.

Please Note: There is no commission cap for the role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
