What You'll Be Responsible For
- Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify those needing improvement while maintaining the tracking against all line downtime or product availability
- Work on labor and non-labor savings projects
- Support the Director of Engineering in tracking project progress, timelines, and budgets.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and elimination of issues that impact line efficiency
- Analyze and optimize processes to reduce waste and energy consumption.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new equipment and technology.
- Improve the efficiency of each production process.
- Evaluate employees’ tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity.
- Use the Theory of Constraints to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increase throughput, workflow improvements, etc.
- Responsible for enhancing/developing Standardized Operating Procedures and training.
- Provide engineering support for troubleshooting manufacturing challenges.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while implementing new processes
- Collect data and report auditing metrics.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- Manufacturing or Food experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support project implementation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with close attention to detail
