Archer Mechanical is seeking a full-time Commissioning Coordinator to join our growing team!

As a Commissioning Coordinator here at Archer Mechanical, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all mechanical systems are commissioned according to our standards and client requirements. This role demands a detailed-oriented professional with strong knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Lead startup procedures for major mechanical equipment across various projects, including verifying proper connection, piping, and readiness of control systems before operation.
- Coordinate with control contractors to monitor progress, address roadblocks, and manage project schedules.
- Actively participate in commissioning meetings and manage Archer’s Quality Control Checklist.
Documentation and Compliance
- Manage all startup documentation, commissioning checklists, and schedules to ensure compliance with specifications and timely project completion.
- Verify equipment submittals against deliveries for accuracy and supervise the installation of low-voltage controls and thermostats, collaborating with contractors as needed.
System Verification and Testing
- Perform component testing, calibrate HVAC controls and sensors, and execute performance tests to verify system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct precise pump alignments using laser and manual techniques and perform system balancing checks on hydronic and air systems
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution
- Troubleshoot HVAC issues and Mechanical System Issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions while maintaining high-quality standards during installations to meet customer expectations.
Client and Team Collaboration
- Assist in training clients and facility operators on proper operation and maintenance of systems.
- Serve as the liaison between project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure commissioning activities align with the project scope and timeline.
Quality Assurance and Optimization
- Validate the integration of mechanical and plumbing systems with other building systems to meet safety, energy efficiency, and building code standards.
- Verify and optimize system performance to ensure compliance with sustainability goals and standards
System Balancing and Calibration
- Perform system balancing and calibration for hydronic and air systems to achieve optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical system startups and commissioning.
- 3-4 years of experience in a Commissioning Coordinator role or similar.
- Understanding of Plumbing & HVAC systems, including chillers and VFDs.
- Strong communication skills, capable of coordinating with various teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and not be micromanaged.
- The ability to use and navigate various software including: Microsoft Office Tools, Excel, Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Smartsheet.
- Trade Experience is highly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
