Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

Commercial & Strategy Managers (CSMs) play a vital role in shaping the future of our supply chain. A crucial part of the Supply Chain Organization, the CSM team drives commercial performance across the supply chain of the Archer aircraft.
The CSM team is responsible for forging strong partnerships, both internally across functions and externally across industries, to maximize cost-effectiveness and product excellence. CSM's drive supply chain strategy from inception to implementation, negotiating strong agreements and ensuring seamless handoff to the tactical execution teams.

What You'll Do:

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company's business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $124,800 - $170,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You'll Do:
- Develop sourcing strategies with cross-functional leaders to reduce cost and increase value
- Leverage a variety of cost modeling strategies to identify high-impact opportunities
- Lead cost and contract negotiations to increase the value delivered to Archer
- Enforce agreements and manage escalations to protect strong functional relationships and boost results
- Demonstrate impact through clear strategy and results presentation to the executive team
- Manage commercial relationships at the executive level and develop deep partnerships
- Develop a deep understanding of industry and market trends, educating key stakeholders and integrating new data into innovative approaches
- Work cross-functionally to continuously evolve policies and processes to enhance efficiency
- Full time, based onsite at Archer Headquarters in San Jose
- Travel: 20 - 40%
- An insatiable curiosity and a keen attention to detail
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Powerful executive communication skills
- Thorough understanding of high-volume supply contracts
- Automotive and/or Aerospace industry negotiation expertise
- Proven ability to dive into a subject and develop a deep technical expertise
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and highly-regulated environment
- Ability to cut through ambiguity and detail limitations to make concrete and sound decisions
- Solid analytical and computer skills (excel/sheets, word/docs, powerpoint/slides)
- BS/BA and 10 years of experience, or MBA/MS and 8 years of experience
- Training in presentation and communication skills
- APICS Certification
