What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Modeling Engineer, Electrical System / Power Electronics position at Archer?
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What you'll do :
- Responsible to lead the modeling / simulation effort characterizing size, weight, performance, and cost of DC / DC and DC / AC power electronic converters
- Develop and maintain documentation on our simulation processes
- Develop and maintain models in matlab / simulink to support trade study analyses and key performance metrics
- Prepare documentation of the electrical architecture
- Perform modeling and testing to confirm system response to fault injection
- Provide cost & duration estimates for performing simulation tasks
- Prepare computing infrastructure analysis, budget needs, implementation, and maintenance
- Summarize and communicate results to the key stakeholders
- Work closely with a cross-functional team consisting of electrical, mechanical, and project management

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
