Position Overview
As Estimator you will build costs for projects in a wide variety of markets, including healthcare, entertainment, commercial, and retail, among other custom architectural projects.
Ideal candidates have excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to see within a project to determine the most efficient methods to manufacture. An extensive knowledge of materials, substrates, processes, and outside vendors to deliver the design intent is required.

Essential Functions
- Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Assign Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing to items to determine appropriate pricing and schedule sequence.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to improve current and future estimates
- Create new relationships with new and existing suppliers to learn about new products, methods and to obtain best pricing within the industry
- Review and incorporate historical data from prior projects as required
- Prepare conceptual estimates as required
- Participate in plan review and estimating reviews for prospective projects
- Collaborates with the design, sales, and project management teams to help the client realize a better product through value engineering, new techniques/ideas/products, and subcontractor relationships
- Leads efforts to secure long lead subcontractors and materials before project handoff
- Advocates for the estimating team in respect to thought processes and how to build items
- Provides specific detail to other departments to allow for final build to match expected costs
Qualifications
- 4 years of estimating or project management experience in architectural, design, custom fabrication and/or construction.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- A passion for solving puzzles and an analytical mindset.
- Sign Industry specific experience is very desirable, but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, fabrication drawings, and experiential graphic design concept drawings.
- Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast paced, changing environment
- Able to stay calm and focused when hurdles arise
- Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to work with varying personalities both inside and outside the company
- Experience with previous ERP systems and Asana is preferred
- Outside of the box thinking
- High technical aptitude, with excellent typing skills, and an intuitive ability to learn new software
- Commitment to provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency and ownership of your role and responsibilities
Physical Requirements
- Able to sit and/ or stand for long periods of time in combination throughout the course of your workday
- Able to lift twenty pounds using proper techniques on a regular basis
- Able to frequently operate a keyboard, mouse, and PC in a safe, ergonomic, and efficient manner
- Operate personal vehicle in a safe and conscientious manner void of distractions

Salary : $60,000 - $110,000
