POSITION PROFILE
We are seeking a highly organized and creative Architectural Designer to support our architecture and design team across various phases of a project, from concept to completion. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in architectural design, strong attention to detail, excellent multitasking abilities, and a deep passion for architecture. This role offers the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously, providing technical expertise, creative input, and project coordination, while gaining practical experience in the field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design: Assist in developing architectural designs, preparing detailed drawings and models, and contributing to space planning and programming.
- Materiality: Research and select materials, ensuring they meet design specifications and project requirements.
- Construction Documentation: Prepare detailed construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with architecture, design, and drafting teams to meet project milestones. Participate in site visits, monitor progress, and assist with inspections.
- Permitting & Regulatory Compliance: Assist with preparing permit drawings, ensuring all designs adhere to local building codes and regulations.
- Bidding & Contractor Selection: Assist in evaluating bids, conducting contractor interviews, and supporting negotiations.
- Construction Administration: Manage change orders, review submittals, and ensure high-quality workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Closeout: Assist with final inspections, preparation of as-built drawings, and delivery of project documentation to clients.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in residential and/or commercial architecture projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, consultants, and team members.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
