What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Porter position at Archie Cochrane Motors, Inc?
Porter Duties Throughout the Year
- Morning Duties: Write down customers from board to Customer Sheet
- Ad Vehicle packets to the drawers
- Match keys to packets/ Used Vehicle Packets/CPO Packets
- Open Vehicles and place key boards into the key boxes
- Print Picture List and take pictures of vehicles that are detailed and PDI’d before they make it on the lot. If on the lot without pictures, make sure that they are taken.
- Work with Managers to line up vehicles each days
- Merchandise with managers to optimize exposure of vehicles on the lot
- Keep Lot Clean
- Make sure vehicles are running and notify manager with a “save a sale” if a vehicle needs anything.
- Hang price tags in vehicle
- Be able to help wash bay if needed.
- Help Sales Department with things that they need, fuel, quick details, deliveries if needed
- Pick up Keys for vehicles at night
- Help in any other way needed
Winter:
- Morning: Make sure Deck is cleared off of snow
- Make sure ice melt is put on slippery surfaces
- Clear snow off of vehicles
- Move vehicles for plowing
- Help in any other way needed
