JOB SUMMARY:
Performs developmental evaluations of children ages birth to 5 years to determine eligibility for developmental preschool services, creates and monitors related educational programming, provides related staff training and delivers developmental therapy services to children in accordance with their Individual Treatment Plan.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers and interprets developmental evaluations, using appropriate protocols in compliance with funding, EIDT and Early Childhood guidelines and as required for determining eligibility for services.
Generates evaluation reports and creates related Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) including goals and objectives following Archild guidelines.
Serves as an active member of an interdisciplinary team, providing evaluations and treatment plans within the required timelines necessary to develop the child’s ITP.
Provides developmentally appropriate interaction and activities for each child (directly or indirectly by supervision) according to the child’s ITP.
Attends and participates in evaluation and multidisciplinary conferences and is available to meet with families as needed.
Works directly with classroom staff to implement, update and maintain each child’s ITP.
Acts as a child development resource to all employees and trains staff, co-workers and families as warranted by the individual needs of the child to support their success in the preschool and home settings.
Adhere to laws and guidelines required by Archild, and all licensing and regulatory agencies, in order to ensure each child with a current ITP is afforded their due process.
Keeps accurate and timely documentation of developmental treatment sessions.
Collaborates with administration and other disciplines to ensure exceptional services for children and families.
Adheres to the policies and procedures of Archild relating to all programs.
Provides administration with updated credentials and related licensure documentation as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Participate willingly in all duties assigned to ensure the highest standard of care for all children at Archild.

Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
Ability to maintain legible and accurate medical records.
Organizational and time management skills with ability to schedule and efficiently carry out therapy services.
Proactive team player.
Language skills must include the ability to read and interpret related documents and manuals.
Mathematical skills must include the ability to calculate and interpret figures and amounts such as percentages, test scores, charts and graphs generally used in the evaluation process.
Reasoning skills must include the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where limited standardization exists.
Ability to relate well to children and adults including other professionals and parents.
Ability to train and teach preschool staff and parents.
Knowledge of all related state and federal licensing and educational guidelines, regulations and requirements.
Computer skills which include a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet and Internet software.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to sit and walk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to bend, squat, push, stoop and pull as needed especially in fulfilling patient care activities.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $64,200.00 per year
