Summary
This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, Superintendent, Senate Office Buildings. The incumbent is responsible for management and direction of the Senate Office Buildings (SOB) special event personnel and presentation to support the United States Senate. This position is 'emergency essential' and may be required to report to work on days when the federal government and AOC are closed due to other emergency situations.

Specialized experience for this position includes; Experience planning, organizing and executing events from start to finish, for high profile individuals Developing and implementing policies standard operating procedures, and key performance indicators for the use of event. Managing a team of events management professionals. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Transcripts must be provided if selected: OR Combination of education and experience. An equivalent combination of the specialized experience and the graduate-level education described above Candidates for the GS-12 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes; Experience planning, organizing and executing events from start to finish for high profile individuals. Developing and implementing policies, standard operating procedures, and key performance indicators for the use of event spaces. Managing a team of events management professionals. Providing technical and administrative supervision to subordinate employees. Receiving and resolving requests and arrangements for special functions. Executing strategic plans for event operations, including process improvement, resource optimization and goal setting.
