Job Summary
Work directly with the Store Manager and Controller to track, receive, inspect, organize, and prepare merchandise for all retail sales. This position requires a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, retail inventory management, customer service, and proficiency with computer software. Responsibilities
- Order Management
- Point of Sale data entry and management
- Receiving of Merchandise
- Inspecting Merchandise
- Maintain effective inventory control systems to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock availability.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely delivery of products.
- Monitor inventory, turnover rates and strategies to reduce excess stock.
- Sale product off the showroom floor.
- Work with customer on special orders.
Experience
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand financial analysis related to inventory.
- Experience with shipping and receiving operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
