The purpose of this position is to provide necessary support to the Fabrication shop in the form of assembling metal structures by welding, cutting, and shaping material.

Objectives:

• Ability and knowledge to set-up, operate, and maintain welding equipment

• Willingness to learn new skills and tasks

• Perform basic math

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time

• The ability to pass a welding certification

• Certified forklift operator

• 5 years of Aluminum welding experience 

• 5 years of Mig Steel welding experience

• Willingness to get OSHA 10 certification if not certified

Attributes/Experience/Skills:

• Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines

• Knowledge of planning layouts and measurements, as well as testing welding surfaces

• Ability to read and properly interpret blueprints, plans, and layouts

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to PPE guidelines

• Follow company policies on attendance, safety, etc. 

• Maintain a positive attitude and high level of ethics and integrity

• Clean, inspect, maintain, and care for company provided tools and equipment

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair common equipment issues

• Ability to determine appropriate welding equipment and methods based on material and requirements

• Ability to learn to identify Arch-Fab product components and have a strong knowledge of their assembly

• Knowledge on identifying and repairing mistakes and equipment needed to perform repairs (Saw, Torch, etc.)

• Ability to positively motivate and provide detailed training to team members

• Ability to develop a plan and solve technical problems

• Able to identify and correct design issues that may affect the quality or strength of the product

• Provides input to management about team member job performance/skill level

• Proficient in Salesforce and Google Drive

• Aid in tracking all components of a job from start to finish
