The purpose of this position is to provide necessary labor to install Architectural Fabrication’s pre-manufactured products on our clients’ job sites using safe & efficient methods.
Objectives:
- Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple activities to meet deadlines. Work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Read blueprints, identify and prepare materials and supplies for installation.
- Safely transport materials to install sites on company vehicles and unload finished materials and equipment.
- Maintain a driver's license.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift 75 or more pounds frequently throughout the day.
- Able to work at various heights, and to be exposed to weather conditions
- Install awnings, sunshades, canopies per drawings and specifications.
- Use the following equipment: scaffolding, elevated platforms, ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and bucket or crane trucks.
- Perform quality assurance post-production and post installation.
- Effectively communicate onsite conditions to the project management office.
- In interactions with customers and co-workers, maintain a positive attitude and high level of dependability and integrity.
- Must be available for out of town work, requiring overnight stays
Attributes/Experience/Skills:
- Organized, Prompt, Diligent, Self-Starter
- Able to communicate effectively, follow direction and exercise good judgment.
- Computer skills: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Quickbooks, Google Drive/Docs/Mail, etc.
- Installation experience in the sign industry or construction experience with the same similar tool profile. OSHA10 certification preferred
Equipment:
- Tools required (not limited to): Tape measure, level, square, pliers, hammer, sockets
- Tools provided through company lease: hand drill, impact driver and other necessary power tools
- PPE to be issued by company: hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, and gloves
- Become proficient in use of: forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, crank lift, tow trailer, saws, hammer drills, grinders, etc.
