Position Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide necessary support to the Fabrication shop from preparation to completion of jobs
Experience required:
Ability to arrive on time and ready to work
Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner
Ability to follow direction and exercise good judgment
High attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and tasks
Perform basic math
Willingness and ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
Minimum 1 year in welding/fabrication shop environment
OSHA 10 Certified
Certified forklift operator
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
Clean workpieces using grinder, sander, scraper, etc. to remove foreign material such as slag, scale, and rust
Ability to correctly use/read a measuring tape, square, and other necessary tools and cut material to length
Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to PPE guidelines
Follow company policies on attendance, safety, etc.
Maintain a positive attitude and high level of ethics and integrity
Clean, inspect, maintain, and care for company provided tools and equipment
Willingness to perform duties outside of the normal scope of work as requested by management
Ability to ensure proper quantities and maintain quality control
Ability to read and properly interpret blueprints, plans, and layouts
Ability to properly and safely operate punch and drill press
Ability to properly and safely operate (non-automated) saws
Asses weld surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors
