Project Engineer
Architectural Fiberglass, Inc., (AFI) custom designs and manufactures interior and exterior decorative Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) ornamentation for the restoration, reproduction, and new construction industries. Architectural Fiberglass, Inc., is one of the premier fiberglass manufacturers leading the industry for over 20 years designing and manufacturing custom fiberglass in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Cleveland, OH.
We are looking to hire a Project Engineer to help our business continue to grow. This candidate must be organized, self-motivated, and able to communicate with professionalism. This role will work directly with the Project Manager & Estimator, analyze/review drawings for projects, perform takeoffs, and price out accordingly.
Job Responsibilities:
Able to understand commercial and residential architectural drawings and specifications.
Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals & plans, and conferring with management.
Producing reports, composing correspondence, and drafting new contracts.
Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements.
Completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates.
Participate actively in the planning and execution of projects
Must be comfortable using computers and have the ability to learn estimating software.
Assist in the creation of shop drawings using AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
Comfortable working in teams, and talking with estimators, managers, contractors, and customers.
Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Must be a self-starter, organized, and comfortable working within deadlines.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task & prioritize work.
Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Leadership skills are preferred.
