Architectural Mailboxes was founded in 2000, and spurred by the lack of availability of innovative, good-quality, USPS-Approved mailboxes. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a blend of strategic HR support with tactical execution, focusing on employee experience, compliance, and operational excellence. This role will lead all day-to-day HR operations at our Architectural Mailboxes, Taylorsville, MS location. Supporting a workforce of approximately 120 employees, this role will manage the full employee lifecycle while fostering strong partnerships across the HR team, and the business unit at all levels. In the spirit of process improvement, this role will work to improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention while driving alignment with our mission and strategy going forward.
What you'll do
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources for the division, this on-site role will be responsible for the following at their respective location:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead recruitment efforts for the plant, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure performance-based hiring and alignment with workforce plans.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a seamless new hire experience.
- Partner with third party staffing partners to ensure staffing levels during high production times are met with quality temporary staff.
Employee Engagement, Experience & Culture
- Conduct regular meetings with leaders to align HR practices with business objectives.
- Champion and model company core values (Make it Better, Make it Right, Make it Together, Make an Impact).
- Foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and lead engagement initiatives and recognition programs to drive morale and retention.
Training & Development
- Coordinate and deliver training initiatives for new hires and existing employees, including compliance, safety, and skill-based learning.
- Support cross-training, upskilling, and leadership development efforts in alignment with corporate learning strategies.
- Ensure that all learning and development programs are successfully rolled out and leveraged to support the organization and employees.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related questions, employee concerns, and workplace investigations.
- Provides guidance and support to managers on interpretation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices to promote an engaging and productive work environment and mitigate potential risks.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee relations issues, ensuring resolutions align with organizational and legal standards.
- Works closely with people leaders to coach through employee relations matters that may arise.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support audits as needed.
Performance Management & Offboarding
- Support the performance review process, coaching managers on effective feedback and development planning.
- Manage exit interviews and offboarding processes with a focus on continuous improvement and retention insights.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a strategic advisor to plant and admin support leadership, providing guidance on workforce planning, team dynamics, and organizational development.
- Liaise with the broader HR team and corporate functions to align local HR activities with company-wide strategies and programs.
HR Strategy & Operational Excellence
- Analyze HR metrics and trends, partnering with stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions, programs, and policies.
- Provide guidance and input on workforce planning, business unit restructures, and succession planning.
- Support HR initiatives such as diversity, equity, and inclusion programs to build an inclusive workplace environment.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of HR programs at the facility and recommend improvements to ensure strategic alignment.

A successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in supporting multi-state business unit locations, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve basic to complex employee relations and investigative procedures, performance management oversight and delivery of effective disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
- Experience in project management and execution.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, benefit administration, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred
- Experience working in a remote team environment with multiple time zones.
- Proficient in HCM systems
