Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven , on-site, outside sales representative to join our dynamic sales team. Architectural Products is a Brick, Block, Stone and Landscape distribution company located in West Des Moines, Iowa. We promote and sell product throughout the state of Iowa. Architectural Products is Central Iowa's largest masonry and landscape supply center. We specialize in commercial construction and have well over 100 years of combined product and industry knowledge. We were established in 2009 and have a staff of twelve employees. We have four delivery trucks with offloading equipment and a two acre yard that allows us to service our customers with on-time deliveries.
Architectural Products represents dozens of brick, block and stone manufacturers throughout the United States. We supply architects and developers with well established masonry options that fit in to their budget, keep their jobs on schedule and allow them the creativity to build. Our sales team is tasked with becoming a local resource to architects and developers for all of their masonry questions.
We are looking for an experienced salesperson that is a self-starter and can work with our current customer base as well as expanding our share of the market and establishing new opportunities.
Duties
- Develop and execute strategic plans for business development within the state of Iowa.
- Establish relationships with Iowa's architectural community and become a resource for product knowledge. Provide samples and information on product options to architects and developers.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to potential clients.
- Manage client relationships through regular follow-ups and personalized communication.
- Identify upselling opportunities to maximize revenue from existing accounts.
- Effectively manage territory by analyzing market trends and customer needs.
- Engage in cold calling to generate new leads and expand the customer base.
Qualifications
- Excellent "Relationship Selling" skills to maintain strong repeat business.
- Basic knowledge of construction.
- Accurate, Dependable, and On-Time Reponses to customers needs.
- Proficient with lead generation strategies.
- Ability to analyze market data and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on relationship-building.
- A self-motivated individual who can manage time effectively and work independently.
- College graduate
