WHAT IS A WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST AT APV?
The Warehouse Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of warehouse activities. This position involves receiving, storing, and distributing products while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing inventory while supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse team. The Warehouse Specialist will work closely with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and maintain operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES HIGHLIGHTS
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure all products are stored in a safe and organized manner.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks and scanning devices.
- Box truck and CDL B experience is a plus.
- Assist with inventory management and resolve discrepancies in stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
- Collaborate with team members to meet order fulfillment deadlines.

- Effective communication skills that will build and sustain good working relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with an ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously, with an understanding of when the Warehouse Manager or other senior leaders need to be involved in decision making.
- Ability to read and understand sales orders, work orders, and purchase orders.
- Punctual and reliable; can be depended upon to honor commitments and manage/meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills.
- Able to exercise sound judgement, act with integrity and preserve confidentiality.
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service experience.
- Honest and trustworthy, with an ability to be positive and enthusiastic.
MUST HAVE
- High School Graduate or general education degree (GED).
- 2 years of working experience.
- Ability to operate a forklift and reach truck.
- Comfortable with use of technology, with good computer and mobile skills and the ability to embrace and adapt to changes to technology that is critical to how we work.
- Ability to lift 90 pounds.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screening.
GREAT TO HAVE
- Knowledge of doors, frames, and hardware.
- Experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Reach truck certified/experienced.
- Experience driving a 26' box truck dock height and CDL B certified.
