We at Architectural Siding, Trim and Roofing, Inc. (ASTAR), a commercial roofing and siding contractor working in NE Ohio, have an immediate need for a Junior Project Manager
The ideal candidate will have the ability to take a project from Contract to Closeout. The JR Project Manager will be responsible for submittals, material orders, change orders, work tickets, billing, project schedules, coordination of the labor with Operations Manager etc. This position will need to work closely with the Operations Manager to meet project labor requirements. The overall goal of this position is to manage assigned projects to completion at or under budget and ahead of schedule. This position reports to the Vice President.
Additional duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Manage project safety
- Review ongoing job labor budgets.
- Attend job meetings.
- Negotiate material costs with distributors.
- Customer relations.
- Acquisition of needed materials including negotiation and logistics
- Scheduling of jobs.
- Identify change order conditions.
- Submit proposed change orders to customers.
- Review outgoing change orders with estimator.
- Submittals and Closeouts.
- Identify labor needs in correlation with project schedule.
- Create, maintain and collaborate the manpower schedule with Operations Manager.
- Participate in “Handoff” meetings. The estimator of the project will turn the project over to the project management team once a contract has been signed.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in the construction industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Degree in construction management, business, engineering or related field is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite products.
- Ability to use/learn business technology.
Compensation:
- Medical, vision, and dental insurance eligible after 30 days.
-401k Plan eligible after 90 days
-Paid time off after 90 days
- Use of company vehicle for official business and fuel card.
- 1% share in gross profit on PM’s assigned projects. Project must hit budget. $5k cap per project.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
