About The Position
Responsible for the daily coordination, negotiation, and maintenance of the procurement process necessary for quality and timely business operations, aligning with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives, and regulations. This position supports the Procurement team and makes key decisions related to the day-to-day purchase order and invoicing activities. This role also assists with the procurement of material on an as needed basis.

$ 30.04/hr - $36.09/hr annually, based on experience and qualifications (CA)
$ 24.23/hr- $30,33/hr annually, based on experience and qualifications (MN)

About The Position

- Collaborates frequently with vendors and co-workers to resolve issues on invoices. Verifies and monitors all pricing, shipping details, and other information on daily orders. Resolves issues related to incorrect material quantities or items being shipped, or delay of materials.
- Reconciles invoices to match purchase orders and works with accounting teams. Meets or exceeds customer service expectations in communication, feedback, and solution-based problem-solving.
- Processes daily orders received. Places orders with appropriate vendors to ensure quality materials, goods, and supplies are available on time for the appropriate group or project site.
- Manages invoices, prepares purchase orders, and monitors freight and pricing on all orders.
- Assists with material returns for materials received and/or ordered incorrectly and remaining materials at close of projects.
- Uses software system to enter purchase orders. Processes daily orders and/or functions. Supports and processes daily tool and equipment rental or purchase orders per guidelines provided. Supports prefabrication's daily orders.
- Completes material transfers within eCMS or other systems on an agreed-upon schedule. Utilizes current standards for all purchasing activities to achieve prompt completion and submittal of purchase orders.
- Creates and maintains positive working relationships with co-workers, customers, vendors, project managers, office, and field staff.
- Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
- Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.
- Promotes and models the Company mission, vision, and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and providing high-quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in electrical construction or a related field. Prefer experience with computerized, web-based procurement and inventory software and/or systems.
- Strong process orientation.
- Solid Financial, analytical, and mathematical skills.
- Strong customer focus and decision-making skills. Strong organizational and critical thinking skills, detail orientation, integrity, and dependability.
- Good listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Effective independent problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
