Position: Community Manager
Reports to: Regional Property Manager
Compensation: $60,000 /year plus bonus incentives (Based on Experience)
Location: Des Moines, IA
Who You Are:

- Experienced in property management and passionate about delivering a superior resident experience
- A strong communicator, both verbal and written, who thrives on building relationships with residents, staff, and external partners
- Adaptable and proactive, ready to manage challenges and changes as they arise
- Experienced with budgeting, financial oversight, and creating operational efficiencies
- Eager to contribute to the development and success of the team and the property
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring everything runs smoothly
- Managing and training a team of staff members, providing guidance and support
- Ensuring property goals are met, including occupancy rates, resident satisfaction, and financial targets
- Developing and managing the property budget, including revenue forecasting and cost control
- Handling resident inquiries and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Conducting property inspections and overseeing maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements
- Coordinating marketing and leasing efforts to maintain full occupancy
- Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Developing and implementing property policies and procedures
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with residents, vendors, contractors, and other key stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 3 years of experience in property management, with a proven track record of success
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and oversee operational activities
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on details
- Proficiency with property management software (Appfolio experience a plus)
- High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
