Nocturnist Opening in Vermont Part-time / 2 hour shifts per monthLocated in Brattleboro, VT - Springfield MA 60m; Manchester NH 80mPOSITION SUMMARYHospital is a licensed, 61-bed, not-for-profit community hospital located in southeastern Vermont, serving a rural population of about 55,000 people in 22 towns in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The medical staff includes more than 130 board-certified providers in primary care and many other specialties, with a shared mission of providing exceptional health care delivered with compassion and respect. The Health System includes a multi-specialty group practice of primary care and specialty care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Over 110 active volunteers assist 600 employees in caring for our community. A comprehensive renovation of medical offices and operating rooms is slated to begin in the spring of 2020, and is scheduled to be completed by 2022.The Nocturnist would be responsible for 12 hour shifts per month, seeing an average of 2-6 admissions each night, overseeing an open intermediate care / step down unit, which includes temporary vent management. Specialty backup includes surgeons to perform central line insertions, respiratory therapists, Emergency Medicine physicians and CRNAs. Will consider J1-Visa candidates.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION : Board-certified preferred, will consider board-eligible and recent graduates.EXPERIENCE / SKILL SETS : 2-3 years' experience as a Hospitalist or NocturnistExperience in rural health preferred, but not required.Vent management experience required.Experience running codes.LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS : Vermont license preferred, but will wait for license.Vermont DEABLS, ACLS About Brattleboro Brattleboro is a progressive Vermont arts community, the market center for Windham County and named one of The 100 Best Small Arts Towns in America.
