About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team in the Katahdin Region of Maine. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to practice general Orthopedics as well as Sports Medicine in a small community environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide office and surgical services at two hospitals within the Katahdin Region
- Perform physical examinations, diagnoses, and surgical treatments for musculoskeletal diseases and sports-related injuries
- Conduct surgical interventions to immobilize fractures using devices such as braces, pins, casts, and splints
- Perform procedures including total hip and knee replacements, arthroscopy, fracture repair, tendon repair, sports medicine, and carpal tunnel procedures
